What is a 'nooksie"?!!!

By now I know many of you are holding your stomachs with laughter *Side eye*... You really can not believe someone would have a blog title with 'Nooksie' in it. Well yes. And Yes, this blog is about sex, sexuality, relationships and the entire gamut that comes with it. 

So, why 'nooksie'.

Nooksie is a colloquial Barbadian term for the vulva and vagina.  

It is also abbreviated to "nooknook" (pronounced nuk nuk) yes folks.. this is the truth!  Usually adults use the term 'nooksie' when speaking to children but it also used jovially (sometimes as a cuss word) to say the person is an idiot - e.g. " my man you is a nooksie or wah?" --> translation " Excuse me Sir, are you an idiot?"

I digress!!

So.. why nooksie! 

Because even though it's a word that many adults use with children to refer to the vagina, it is often used in adult conversation causally in reference to sexual intercourse e.g. "You giving him some ah da nooksie?"-- > translation " Are you having sexual intercourse with that man?" 

It's that kind of casual, non-stuck up conversation this blog will strive for. Think of this blog as a sounding board for your questions and 'wonder ifs' about sex and sexuality... that place where you can get factual answers for questions that are damn important to you. 

Let me put this out there though... If you're uncomfortable with reading about sex, relationships and how to have a great sexual health for you, then maybe you should click the return button and step away from this blog cause "Ah Nooksie" is big people conversation.
